We are excited to offer three community projects during Tauber's 2021 Community Service Day (CSD). This year we have volunteer opportunities on two different days. We are excited to partner with Detroit Food Academy on Friday, February 12, and with DAPCEP and Mend on the Move on Friday, February 19.

Detroit Food Academy (https://detroitfoodacademy.org/): Detroit Food Academy is a non-profit which aims to empower young people (ages 10 to 24) through culinary experiences and food entrepreneurship opportunities.

DAPCEP (Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program - http://www.dapcep.org/): DAPCEP is a local non-profit committed to getting underrepresented students involved in STEM education and careers prior to college.

Mend on the Move (https://mendonthemove.org/): Mend on the Move is a Detroit-based non-profit which employs women abuse survivors in making jewelry from salvaged auto parts and car seat leather. The organization also provides personal services, such as therapy and social service resources, which help the women feel empowered and confident moving forward in their lives.

The deadline to sign up for the February 12th project is Saturday, February 6th. The deadline to sign up for any of the February 19th projects is Friday, February 12th.
