A JOURNEY TO SOLIDARITY: MENDING HISTORIC DIVIDES BETWEEN WOMEN OF AFRICAN DESCENT

SESSION I — Who am I to you and Why does it matter?

Mending Divides is a 10-month discussion series created by the African American Public Policy & Advocacy Group, with the sole purpose of exploring the myriad identities and experiences of Women in the African diaspora. Each single session will be held every second Saturday of the month and will have its own topic.

Held in connection with the UN Permanent Forum on People of African Descent, the series aims to examine cultural gaps among Black and/or Afro descendant Women and amplify their voices in addressing global challenges facing their communities. Sign up quickly because space is limited. Once seats are filled, there is a waiting list available as well.
