Peters Brook Greenway Habitat Restoration Volunteers - Stream Overlook, 10/11/2025
We will be planting native plants in the new bed near the path behind/below the Van Fleet Gardens' gazebo. Please join us in the fun and learn from your commissioners about the rest of the project efforts, and what to expect over the coming months!

Volunteer Details: 
  • 🗓 Volunteer Day: Saturday, Oct. 11th at 9am
  • 📍 Location: Behind/below Van Fleet Garden gazebo
  • 👩‍🌾 What to bring: Gardening gloves, hand tools, water, sun and mosquito protection. 
The work will include: 
  • Planting small herbaceous native plants in the new bed
  • Laying/spreading mulch
  • Digging holes
  • Possible weeding 
  • Installing wire fencing to keep our deer
If you are unable to complete all of these activies, we hope that you will come and do whatever you are comfortable helping with! We want to help build community through these efforts, as they will both benefit the community and our local environment.
