TŌN Open Rehearsals for School Groups at the Fisher Center at Bard College

Upcoming Open Rehearsal Dates & Programs at the Fisher Center at Bard:

October 28 at 10am: Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark

Perfect for introducing students to film music and orchestration, this rehearsal explores how a composer uses the orchestra to create drama, emotion, and storytelling in cinema. (Note: The film will not be shown in this rehearsal.)

December 18 at 10am: From Bugs Bunny to Hollywood

TŌN rehearses the first half of Sunday’s concert: Rossini’s Barber of Seville Overture — the overture behind a classic Bugs Bunny cartoon chase — then violinist Francisco Fullana, our invited soloist, joins for Korngold’s Violin Concerto, written by the composer Hollywood turned to for its first great film scores.

December 19 at 12:45 pm
Collaboration with NYC’s All-City High School Orchestra

TŌN rehearses the second half of Sunday’s concert side by side with the NYC All‑City High School Orchestra: Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain — straight out of Disney’s Fantasia — and Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet, the sound of film romance for over a century.
