Incumbent Worker Training Grant
In order to help local employers be more competitive in the global economy, and to recover more quickly from economic impacts of the pandemic, Jefferson County Economic Development is offering grants to cover 80% of training costs for your existing workers, up to a maximum grant of $20,000 per employer. Funding can be used for training to enhance existing skills, teach new skills and techniques, operate new equipment, or adopt new technologies. Funds can be used to bring in third parties for on-site training at your facility, to send employees off-site, or for online training. The program will not reimburse you for the cost of in-house training provided by your own personnel.
The training fund is made possible by an allocation from the Jefferson County Board of Legislators from the American Recovery Act Program. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis (no deadline) until all funds are expended.
Jefferson County Economic Development reserves the right to qualify or disqualify each project's eligibility.
