The McBurney Disability Resource Center provides training to campus departments, units, faculty, staff, and student organizations on topics exploring disability and accessibility. While McBurney Center staff are available to
- Accommodations Training: How students request, eligibility determination process, accommodation rights and expectations
- Social Justice: Disability awareness, identity, and culture
- Universal Design to Learning: development of accessible course, curriculum, etc.
- Transition: preparation for moving from high school to college; preparing for entering the workplace
- Adaptive Technology: audio books, notetaking services, Braille, captioning, etc.
- Deaf and Hard of Hearing: Teaching and interacting with students, interpreters, and captioners
- Current Disability Landscape: Trends and current issues facing campus and students with disabilities
