Eden Coalition is a network of Eden Area organizations committed to creating a world that works for everyone through inclusion, compassion, and justice. We honor each person's dignity and support the well-being of all, especially the most vulnerable. Because our lives are interwoven, we know that when one is harmed, all are harmed: an injury to one is an injury to all.

Forms of support:

Support can take many forms, including

  • Collaborate on each other's community actions to influence public opinion and move lawmakers (example: rallies, phone banks, postcard campaigns)
  • Offer resources: gear, talent, space, experience, training, Know Your Rights cards
  • Share knowledge and strategies for effective education and mobilization of allies and activists
  • Show up for each other -- visibly and vocally

Our Commitments

We commit to working together in good faith, with honesty, mutual respect, and unity in the face of injustice. We will:

  • Engage one another with curiosity, humility, and a spirit of collaboration.
  • Protect the safety and trust of the group: keep contact info strictly confidential and do not give others access to liaison-only channels.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our communication and collaboration — both interpersonally and technically.

How We Work Together:

  • Each member organization has 1–2 liaisons with access to the confidential coalition communications infrastructure.
  • Each organization discerns which actions to support based on its own mission, charter, or guidelines.
  • For security, membership is by referral only. Strengthen and grow the coalition by identifying aligned organizations and inviting them to sign-up using this form.
  • Help expand our collective power by encouraging members and contacts to join the Call to Action Signal Group.

How We Make Decisions

We operate on trust, collaboration, and mutual respect. When decisions affect the full coalition, we seek consensus or clear majority support. We believe in transparency and responsiveness. 

Technical note: We use Signal and Google apps to communicate. This means your email address must be registered with Google. It can be a gmail account or any other email address as long as it's registered with Google. Search for "How to register my non gmail account with google" if you need to do that. You will also need a Signal account. You can create it after you sign up.
