The New York Institute of Dance & Education, Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre, Sean McLeod Dance Experience and The New York Dance Festival believe in creating, and demands the support of, a healthy learning environment. No degrading, embarrassing, or sarcastic statements will be made in public or private that could foster a negative learning environment. No belittling or unpleasant conversations compromising the dignity and respect of the participants or faculty will be tolerated. Disregard of dignity and respect of the participants or parents will result in quick non-refundable termination of one’s involvement. There is always a positive solution to even the most negative situations. With us, your commitment to find that remedy must always remain constant.

As a participant at the New York Institute of Dance & Education, New York Dance Festival, Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre, or Sean McLeod Dance Experience event, you become a living example of everything that is right in people. You agree to promote positive solutions to negative situations. You will promote the belief that everyone can win and celebrate the possibility of “yes!” If you are under 18, your parents must embrace all of these principles as well, so we create an environment where every member of your family that interacts with us celebrates the success and possibility of good fortune for you and everyone around you. Holding this positive reinforcement in your lives breeds infectious philanthropy and can truly produce positive change in our lives and
communities.

Financial Understanding:

Finances are a potentially sensitive proposition. Subsequently, all finances are confidential and you are herby required to ensure that confidentiality. You are certainly at liberty to disclose that you received support in the event that you have. However, the amount of that support is a confidential agreement between yourself and NYIDE.

It is hereby agreed that you will keep financial arrangements or agreement amounts confidential. If our office receives reports that the terms and amounts of any special arrangements have been disclosed and this causes any jealousy or turmoil with other clients, you will be immediately required to pay the full balance of your tuition. Please heed to this confidentiality requirement carefully. It is the only way we can ensure a level playing ground for all participants.

Common Courtesy Requirement:

By attending events held through The New York Institute of Dance & Education, New York Dance Festival, and Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre the undersigned, and/or their parent or guardian, agrees that the participant will willingly treat all individuals at the event, whether they be staff, parents, classmates, or visitors, with the highest sense of welcome, courtesy and respect. The undersigned is required to greet all that enter the building and aid in the simple direction of their inquiry to the reception desk or nearest staff member. Failure to exercise basic common courtesy could result in the quick, non-refundable termination of the undersigned’s involvement in programming through the New York Institute of Dance & Education and KDT.
