CFMS Winter 2020 (Global Health)
As the representative voice of Canadian medical students, the Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS) represents you and your colleagues to many national medical organizations including the Canadian Medical Association, the College of Family Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and others.
Each fall, winter, and spring the CFMS selects a new group of talented individuals to help represent medical students to these organizations and offers a chance to general CFMS members to be involved in shaping the future of medicine in Canada. Volunteering for these positions allows students to learn more about medical education, health promotion and more, all while acting as the voice of Canadian medical students.
The winter call for applications will be open Jan 6 - Feb 3. Applications are due February 3rd, 2020 at 11:59PM EST. Late responses will not be accepted.
Indigenous Representation Working Group
The Indigenous Representation Working Group was formed to explore the best ways in which the CFMS can improve and increase Indigenous representation within the organization. The term of this group will be from February to August 2020. It is tasked to investigate and come up with recommendations on how to best address Indigenous representation and engagement within the different CFMS portfolios and amongst the Board. We will be using using the AFMC Joint Commitment to Action on Indigenous Health as a guide. Term: February - August 2020.
