Technical Qualifications
*PC or Mac with internet access
*Facebook account- much of the daily things are handled on Facebook
*Adobe creative cloud- Illustrator and Indesign are needed for drafting and tutorial
*Phone or camera- needed for step pictures
*White backdrop- all step pictures are taken on a white backdrop

Job Description
Designers for Petite Stitchery are responsible for their pattern from inspiration to execution. Designers work with the team to develop a moodboard for upcoming collections. Pitch ideas for patterns to the team for feedback and advice. Each pattern will follow the life cycle of pattern design: draft, test, finalize, release. During the draft phase the pattern will need to be sewn up, check for any fit issues, and revise if needed. Repeat until the pattern is ready for testing. Creating the tutorial with written steps and pictures happens during the drafting phase. The testing phase is done in two parts: pretest and final. During pretest the design will be tested for fit by the testers and feedback given. Final testing will occur once any pretest changes are made. Testers will give further feedback if needed and submit photos. Designers are responsible for running the individual pattern test groups. During testing, the designer must be available for any questions from the testers and able to make changes in a timely fashion. During the finalize phase all changes needed for the correct fit and look of the pattern are perfected. All pattern pieces are labeled and reviewed. The tutorial is completed and reviewed. All files needed for release are completed. Designers must complete listing needs: listing description, listing photos, line drawings, etc. The last phase, release, will consist of a social media presence and content for the release weekend and feature week of the pattern.

This process takes no less than one month to complete and can take longer.

Training and Bonuses
*Mentorship program
The program timeline will be set based on level of experience of the applicant. The mentorship will be a minimum of 30 days with a maximum of 90 days. During the mentorship you will follow along through an entire release cycle with management. Once ready, management will work directly with you to ensure a smooth first release.
*Start Up Bonus
Upon completion of mentorship program and first release, designers will receive a Start Up Bonus to cover costs of the pattern course and supplies.
