Cat Trapping Request

Thank you for contacting North Bergen Purr about our TNR services.

TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) is a humane approach to controlling the feral and stray cat population by preventing unwanted litters. It also reduces behaviors like fighting, spraying, and excessive vocalization.

Our all-volunteer team operates in North Bergen, West New York, and Guttenberg, NJ. Every member of our team works full-time jobs, so we rely on collaboration with cat feeders and community partners to ensure the success of our efforts. Whether through trapping, fostering, transporting, or donating, every contribution makes a difference.

Please complete our form as thoroughly as possible. If you don’t receive a response within a week, you may follow up at northbergenpurr@gmail.com.

While we prioritize trapping, we most often cannot cover the costs or provide transportation for appointments. That is where we need your help!

Thank you for supporting TNR and helping improve the lives of community cats.

When caring for outdoor cats, it is best to feed them at the same time(s) every day rather than leave food out at all times for them. In order to put your location on our calendar for Trap-Neuter-Return, the cats must consistently come at the same time every day for at least 2 weeks.

What time do the cats eat?
*
Are any of the cats ear tipped?
An ear tip indicates that the cat has previously been spayed/neutered through TNR. The left ear is usually the ear that is tipped.

How can you help? *Please note, if you cannot transport, it may take us significantly longer to be able to help. *
Required
We are a free, non-profit service. However, vetting the animals is not free. We recommend using People for Animals for the most cost-effective option for feral cats.  *
Required

Will you consent to us returning and releasing any trapped cats back into their original area once they are fixed? This specifically pertains to feral cats, not kittens or friendly cats.
