Thank you for your interest in having your book on the shelves at Curious Iguana. We are a small bookstore and must balance an overwhelming number of requests from local authors with available shelf space and our customers’ interests. Preference is given to recently published books with broad appeal. We do not accept books on consignment.
Please carefully review our criteria before completing and submitting the form. If we are interested in stocking your book, we will be in touch with you. Please, no phone or walk-in inquiries. If you have questions, please email

Also, please note we do not handle marketing for local and self-published authors. All marketing, promotion, and advertising of books should be done by the author, including social media. Curious Iguana will not offer special shelf or display space, and authors are prohibited from moving their books to a new location in the shop. Violation of this policy will result in the author's books being removed from the shop.
*Curious Iguana reserves the right to remove any local author book at any time.
After one (1) year, titles that have not sold will be pulled from our shelves and donated.
Your book must meet all of the following criteria in order to be considered:
- Paperback, hardcover, or board cover with book title and author name on spine (exceptions may be made for poetry books or children's paperbacks)
- Minimum size of 5 x 8”
- ISBN, barcode, and price printed on back cover
- Professionally edited and designed without the use of AI
- Available at standard trade terms (no less than 40% bookstore discount)
- Published within the past two years
