The goal of Model Grants is to duplicate programs and projects that have been proven to be successful across schools in Lafayette Parish.
Sources for Recommendations:
External: Any member of the Lafayette Parish School System may submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) and proposal for Model Grants Program. Just as we encourage educators to be innovative in their applications for Classroom and School Impact Grants, we want to encourage educators to be watchful for successful programs taking place within Lafayette Parish.
Internal: Any member of the LEF board of directors or staff may submit a LOI and proposal for Model Grants Program. Just as we encourage educators to be innovative in their applications for Classroom and School Impact Grants, we want to encourage our board and staff to be watchful for successful programs taking place within Lafayette Parish.

Brief summary of project/program and student/teacher needs it will address, along with project goals
Brief description of personnel involved, to include applicable project management and implementation experience for primary individuals involved with implementation

October: Deadline to submit full proposals
November-May: LEF seeks funding for Model Grant Programs
May: Funding is distributed to recipients
May-August: Recipients purchase materials
August- May: Program/project implementation; mid-year reporting; end of year reporting
