2026 PA Academic Decathlon Judges Registration
Thank you for considering being a judge for our Academic Decathlon championships in 2026.

We are recruiting for the PA State Championships on March 13th-14th. Judging will happen IN PERSON at Hershey High School:

We are recruiting essay, speech, and interview judges. The theme for this year's Academic Decathlon is "The Roaring Twenties." You do NOT need to be an expert in this field to judge. These three events are testing students general writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills.

A complimentary meal will be provided.

PAAD now uses online rubrics for evaluation of subjective events. We request that you bring an internet-capable device (phone, tablet, laptop) compatible with Google Forms to fill out the evaluation forms for each student.

ESSAY JUDGING - MARCH 13

3:00-3:30 PM - Essay Orientation
3:30-5:30 - Essay Reading
JUDGES REQUIRED: 15-20

SPEECH/INTERVIEW JUDGING - MARCH 14
8:15-9:15 - Complimentary Breakfast, Speech/Interview Orientation
9:30-12:00 - Speech/Interview Judging
JUDGES REQUIRED: 36-54

You will be paired up with one or two other judges. If you wish to be paired with someone specific, please let us know below.
