MakingMUSIC concerts introduce elementary school students to the full symphony experience. The program features traditional "classical" music, work written by contemporary composers, and student performers – including student conductors!
- 2025 Concert Dates: Wednesday, March 12, Thursday, March 13, Friday, March 14
- Times: 10:30am and 12pm each day (concert length ~45 mins) *SEE BELOW*
- Location/Address: Whitney Hall at The Kentucky Center
- Audience: Grades 4-5
- Cost: $8 per student/chaperone (1 free chaperone per every 10 student tickets)

NOTE: JCPS elementary schools K-Z receive complimentary admission and transportation to a MakingMUSIC concert during the 2024-25 school year (grades 4-5 only). Schools A-J and all non-JCPS schools are invited to the concert and may use private or grant funds for this experience. (Cost $8 per student)
*Schools with early start time (7:30-8:40am) should attend AM concert. Schools with later start times should attend 12pm concert.
LO CONDUCTING SCHOOL: Each school attending a concert may recommend one (1) 4th or 5th grade student to participate in the Young Conductors program. Participating students learn the art of conducting, then represent their school and debut their skills on stage during the performance. Additional information to come!
