Correcting published misinformation about Oakland coal dispute
In late March, an opinion piece in the Oakland Post spread misinformation about the City government's willingness to negotiate a settlement to ongoing legal disputes with OBOT developer Phil Tagami and the new owner of Insight Terminal Solutions, the company slated to run the bulk terminal proposed for Oakland's West Gateway, next to the Bay Bridge toll plaza. The misinformation may have been spread by the developers or their hired proxies. No Coal in Oakland set the record straight in an April 16 post on the NCIO website: https://nocoalinoakland.info/oakland-posts-coal-op-ed-is-riddled-with-errors/

Oakland residents are strongly encouraged to contact their Mayor and/or City Councilperson. Let them know you're paying attention, and you appreciate their continued commitment to reaching a COAL FREE resolution to disputes about development at the West Gateway site.

Below you'll find contact information for the Councilmembers and Mayor. (If you're not sure which district you live in, please consult this map: http://gisapps1.mapoakland.com/councildistricts/ ).

A few optional questions below the contact info will help NCIO track community contact with the City government.
