Working Equitation Playdays at Aspen Farms November 19-20, 2016
Here's the plan: Start the day with coffee and pastries (obviously!), then we'll provide an introduction to the sport and a basic overview of the rules of play. Then together we'll have an unmounted coursewalk, exploring the fundamentals of each obstacle before mounting up in small groups to introduce our horses to the obstacles. Small group sessions will be guided to help you and your horse safely and successfully navigate the Ease of Handling phase. During lunch, there will be a demonstration of working equitation through the levels from Novice to Advanced by Chesna and Pip, and a special lead-line exhibit by a tiny Aspen-ite! Join us to try out this fun, fast-growing sport in a supportive and laid-back environment or take it to the next level and get ready for show season.

Working Equitation is an inclusive sport-- all breeds of horses and riders of all disciplines and skill levels are invited! Helmets are required at all times while mounted. Please sign an Aspen Farms release before riding.

Paypal invoices will be emailed; pay by 11/12 to hold your spot. $70 per horse/rider includes orientation/90 minute small group instruction/demonstrations/coffee/snacks/use of Aspen's gorgeous facility. Clinic limited to 24 riders. Closes 11/15 or when filled.

Auditors welcome, $15 per person; please pay at the door. WE United members and children under 16 audit for free. Questions from auditors are always welcome. We should have a sound system so you'll be able to hear. Please bring a chair and blanket-- even though we'll be under cover in Aspen's lovely arena, it still will be chilly!

Per the facility, all horses need to be in a stall, not tied to trailers. Day stalls available ($25) or overnight stalls ($40). Stabling includes shavings. Please clean your stall before leaving the property.
