Welcome to the online registration for the 33rd Annual Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition!
The Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition is an interscholastic appellate moot court competition sponsored each year by The University of Texas School of Law, in memory of Judge John R. Brown. Judge Brown served from 1955 to 1993 on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, where he was one of the nation’s most prominent admiralty judges.
The 33rd annual competition will take place March 19 - 21, 2026 in Charleston, SC!
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and will conclude when 32 teams have registered. The registration fee is $200 for each team. Each school may enter no more than two teams consisting of either two or three competitors apiece. Registration is not secured until the registration fee is received. Registering online will reserve a team's spot in the competition, but if the registration fee is not received within a week that reserved spot will become available.
