Skatepark Terms & Conditions

This document is intended to keep you and everyone else safe while skateboarding at our skatepark. Please read carefully.

  • By using our facility, all participants understand that skateboarding is an extreme sport and as such entails known and unknown risks that could result in physical injury or potentially death, damage to property or to 3rd parties.
  • Due to the hazardous nature of skateboarding, you participate at your own risk, liability for personal injury or death cannot be taken by Community East CIC and you agree to waive liability for any injuries, ailments or other damage to you or your property whilst using the Community East Skatepark. Please be aware of your own limits and avoid unnecessary risks.
  • Any person(s) who is visibly intoxicated shall not be permitted to use the park at any time
  • If you have any pre-existing conditions, please consult a medical professional before participating, and where appropriate please inform us of said conditions.
  • In public sessions we advise that all participants use protective safety equipment. It is compulsory for those under 16 to wear a helmet unless written consent not to wear one has been provided by a parent or guardian and approved by an authorised member of staff.
  • In coaching sessions ALL participants will be required to at least wear a helmet and we strongly advise the use of all other pads.
  • Skateboards are ONLY to be ridden on the skatepark area. The church is a very old building and features need to be protected. Anyone repeatedly ignoring this rule will be asked to leave.
  • When spectating/taking a break please leave your skateboards in the areas provided. Please use the hooks provided to keep your coats/bags etc safe and do not leave your belongings on the ramps/around the park as this may cause obstruction to other users
  • Please be kind and respectful to fellow users and adhere to our codes of conduct at all times. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave/refuse admission if they are not acting in line with our behaviour and/or safety policies.
  • Please leave quietly, especially in the evenings, and do not skateboard in the church grounds at any time.
  • These rules are displayed around the park, copies are available from staff on request and they are also available online – www.communityeast.org.

FIRE SAFETY

  • In the event of a fire, evacuate the building via nearest exit and congregate in far corner of cemetery. Do not return for possessions etc. until given all clear by staff.
  • Only tackle small fires if you are capable and note the emergency fire equipment point at entrance to park.
