Monetary Donation for Negative Meal Balances

It’s a fact that students who eat nutritious meals perform better in school. SMSD Student Nutrition Services makes it possible for all students, even those who do not qualify for free or reduced meals, to receive healthy and nutritious meals daily regardless of the available funds in their meal account.

SMSD works diligently to help our families in any way we can which includes bringing their student’s negative meal account into good standing with donations.  

While SMSD Student Nutrition Services receives funds from USDA for serving meals, families who do not qualify for free meals are expected to pay for meals.  However, that is not always possible as many families are still struggling to pay bills and other expenses.  

We greatly appreciate your donation and it will be used to resolve student meal accounts with negative balances. Please complete this form and someone with the SMSD Student Nutrition Services office will be in contact with you to discuss how to make a monetary donation.
