If your child is not currently enrolled with the Juneau School District, you must complete a full registration/enrollment packet at your Neighborhood School. Register new students through the end of the school year in May. In August school offices open again to register new students. Check the District Website for updated dates and information: juneauschools.org > District Information > Parents > General School Information. Registration for school includes providing contact and other information to the school office, presenting the child's birth certificate, and immunization records. REGISTRATION IS COMPLETED AT THE NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL and can be transferred to the option program if your child is selected.
Due to the possibility of more requests than available positions in the option program classrooms, a Placement Process, approved by the District administration and the Board of Education, is used to determine classroom placement and balance. Information about the process can be found online at juneauschools.org > District Information > Parents > Optional Programs or through the Administrative Services Office at 523-1771.
