Page One Board Member Application
Founded in 2000, Page One works during the academic year to foster a love of reading in community youth by collaborating with school and local partners. The organization’s student-led board is made up of a president, treasurer, programs coordinator, one-time events coordinator, and social media coordinator.

For Spring 2021, the Page One Board is looking for a new Programs Coordinator (Paid Position), President, and Outreach Coordinator! Descriptions of each role is below.

Programs Coordinator (CCE Paid Position):
The Page One Programs Coordinator is the official liaison between the volunteers, our board, and the CCE. The Programs Coordinator is primarily responsible for the logistical components of Page One ongoing programs, including assigning volunteers to programs and providing confirmed volunteers with more detailed information about their programs. In conjunction with the board, the Programs Coordinator is responsible for checking in with volunteers to make sure that they have the support they need throughout the semester. This may mean visiting programs, organizing supplies, or helping out with board meetings.

Throughout the semester the program coordinator holds 3 paid office hours/week in the CCE to fulfill their responsibilities. During the first few weeks of the semester, the Programs Coordinator is expected to answer emails and troubleshoot any issues with programming outside of their office hours. If you are great with logistics and want to help make Page One an awesome experience for our volunteers, this could be the job for you!

President:
The President of Page One is responsible for coordinating the communications between the other chairs on the board and assisting other board members as they see fit. This aid involves working closely with the treasurer to coordinate finances, the programs coordinator to plan volunteering scheduling and craft-kit building, the social media chair as to what gets posted to advertise the club, and the one-time-events coordinator to plan annual events, such as the halloween event. The president fills out administrative Presence forms and reserves spaces for the club members to meet and complete volunteering duties. The president leads board meetings and ensures all ideas are being heard and included in the mission of the club to create a welcoming space open to all.

Outreach Coordinator:
The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for outreach and recruitment of volunteers and participants for Page One events. They coordinate website postings and the Page One social media campaigns, submit events to the CCE newsletter, create Canva graphics, and connect with campus partners to spread the word about upcoming events. This individual works closely with the CCE photography intern to publicize our awesome work.  If you are creative and organized, this could be the job for you!
