Professional sports teams and athletes are referenced in music frequently, usually in a reference to their skills or just simply showing their adoration for the player or team they represent. 

Whether official or unofficial, and sometimes by popular demand, there are certain songs that become synonymous with teams or players.

Needless to say, with the recent success of the Sacramento Kings, it’s about time that the team get their deserving anthem. 

Sacramento rapper DB Boutabag said on a podcast called Free Smoke that he is working on an official Sacramento Kings anthem after he was contacted by the organization. 

There have been many local artists in Sacramento that have produced soundtracks in honor of their Kings and their recent success.
