Current plans for the Longfellow Bridge, set to reopen in May, will have no protected bicycle lanes, and will re-institute two lanes for cars. By signing this petition, I urge state and city officials to work with advocates to implement protected bike lanes on the inbound side of the Longfellow Bridge.  Safe bike facilities can be piloted, keeping a single travel lane inbound for motor vehicles and implementing a two-lane separated cycle track, as soon as possible without delay.
