In association with our annual conference, the Geoscience Society of New Zealand (GSNZ) is organising
EarthFest - a Festival of Earth Science to be open to the public from
9am - 3pm on Saturday 11 November 2023 at the
Walter Nash Centre in Lower Hutt (
22/26 Taine Street, Taitā, Lower Hutt 5011).
The aim of this festival is to offer family-friendly activities that will engage tamariki (children), rangatahi (young people), and their whānau (families) with a range of earth science topics and processes. While all types of exhibits will be considered, we encourage exhibitors to focus on interactive activities that will inspire interest and excitement, and the desire to learn more about earth science.
