With your help, we would like to build a publicly available map showing farms in southeast Ohio that grow wool-bearing animals, including, but not limited to, sheep, goats, rabbits, alpaca, and llama. We invite you to opt-in to sharing what you want on the map, general location, specific address, contact information, etc. This map will provide a resource for fiber artists and other farmers as they look for fiber for their projects or new stock for their flocks, and will provide all of us with a picture of the diversity of wools available in our region.
Even if you do NOT want your information made public, we encourage you to fill out the form so we can get an accurate look at our southeast Ohio wool community.
This survey should only take 5 to 10 minutes at most to complete.
While we focus on farms located in southeast Ohio, as defined by economic development professionals and pictured below, if you are in another part of the state or country, please feel free to fill out this survey, too! We'd love to help you connect with other fiber enthusiasts or Fibershed organizers.
We are a membership supported organization. If you would like any of your farm information made public, we ask for a $25 first year membership fee to help support the work of your Southeast Ohio Fibershed. Your listing will include the information you want available and a photograph of either your animals, you, you and your animals, your farm, whatever you want!
If you would like to become a member of the Southeast Ohio Fibershed, whether you're a farmer or community supporter, please head over to our membership page at seohiofibershed.org/membership
