The 2023 Right Whale Festival will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 10am-6pm and Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 10am-3pm at Main Beach Park, in Fernandina Beach, FL. Additionally, there will be a "Movie in the Park" at the festival site from 7pm-9pm on Saturday, November 5, 2023. Sunday volunteer shifts have been filled.
Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of the festival! Volunteer tasks include table set-up & break down, assistance with children's activities, t-shirt sales, collecting surveys, supporting visitors, and much more. Volunteers will receive a free festival t-shirt.
Things to know:
- Volunteers MUST be over 15.
- Volunteers will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis and this form will be removed once all positions are filled.
- You may volunteers for as many shifts as you would like; you will be scheduled for all shift you choose on this form. If you volunteer for more than one shift, you will be scheduled a 30 min break.
- When choosing shifts, keep in mind volunteers are asked to arrive 15 mins early for shifts to allow time for checking-in, instructions and putting on your volunteer t-shirt.
- Volunteers are required to stay for the entire duration of their shift, rain or shine.
- Please bring work gloves, sunscreen, rain gear, bug spray, and a reusable water bottle.
