2018 FAU Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competitor Registration
This October 2018, FAU will host the Third Annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition. This exciting competition provides FAU graduate students with a professional development experience and chance to win up to $5,500 in scholarship prizes plus travel expenses to compete in regional and national competitions. 2018 EVENT INFORMATION
Boca Campus Heats: October 16, 17, and 18; (REGISTRATION CLOSED)
Harbor Branch Campus Heat: Monday, October 22 at 4:00PM (DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MONDAY, OCTOBER 15)

Championship: Friday, November 2; Osher Lifelong Learning Institute; 6:00 PM


RULES
-A single static PowerPoint slide is permitted.
-No slide transitions, animations or 'movement' of any description are allowed.
-No additional electronic media (e.g. sound and video files) are permitted.
-No additional props (e.g. costumes, musical instruments, laboratory equipment) are permitted.
-Presentations are limited to 3 minutes maximum and competitors exceeding 3 minutes are disqualified.
-Presentations are to be spoken word (i.e. no poems, raps or songs).
-Presentations are to commence from the stage.
-The decision of the adjudicating panel is final.


ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to compete you must:
- Be an FAU degree-seeking graduate student in good academic standing
- Be registered for a minimum of 1 credit hour in the Fall 2018 semester
- Submit this registration by October 1, 2018 (Harbor Branch Heat - deadline extended to October 15, 2018)


DEADLINES
Registration Deadline: Registration must be submitted by Monday, October 1, 2018 (Harbor Branch Heat - deadline extended to October 15, 2018).
Static Slide Deadline: Final static slides must be submitted by Monday, October 8, 2018 (midnight).
