SORG INDEX RANKINGS - A LIST OF "DOLPHIN" ORGANIZATIONS IN THE WORLD
Following the spread and the success of the book "The Sustainable Organisation - a paradigm for a fairer society", already thousands of people in more than 100 countries, several readers suggested that we should create a simple ranking where we will dynamically list organizations by the SORG criteria. That's why we decided to create the SORG WORLD RANKING.

The SORG ranking will include only "Dolphin Organizations", sustainable organizations that have a SORG equal or higher than 1 — to inspire change and hope. "Shark Organizations", the ones with a SORG less than 1, won't be listed.... we don't need them! ( Intro.TheSustainableOrganisation.com )

So, this is our first approach. Any help or suggestion building this list is most welcome.

With this new metric, which we have named The Sustainable Organization Index (SORG), we can create a measurement system that can be easily understood and used to compare the real impact that any organization has on our lives and the lives of the generations to come. Through this simple, transparent and speculation-free index that ranks organizations according to their actual impact, we hope that organizations can start focusing more on what really matters – their capacity to endure, which inevitably touches the world’s capacity to endure.

SORG considers that in a sustainable organization there is a balance among the economic benefits of the organization's owners, its employees (the Team) and the community it serves the SORG index measures the internal harmony of the organization and its impact in the society where it works. It allows a transparent comparison of any organization, regardless of its size, location or purpose. This vision can be described by the formula bellow to assess how balanced the organization is, both at an internal and external level. Further details of the algorithm can be found in a3.TheSustainableOrganisation.com

How does it work? The metric uses data that is publicly available and that can be reviewed and assessed by anyone to determine to what degree an organization is sustainable, considering that a sustainable organization will be any organization that shows a balance between the economic benefits directed to the owners of the organization, the employees (or the team) and the community it serves.

Overall, the SORG comes as a valuable tool to acquire a clear image of how the organization behaves in the society and whether or not it is free from speculation, based on factual information publicly available: it is very simple to calculate and it offers a transparent assessment of the sustainability of any organization.

This form collects all data required to calculate SORG. We will share the results publicly in the website www.sorgindex.com.

You may share this form freely. We need to find as many "Dolphin" Organizations as we can. We believe that there are many more "Dolphin" than "Shark" Organizations in the world but the "Shark" promote themselves better... So we need to change this paradigm!
