The Preserve Recreational Use Survey
Thank you for your interest in The Preserve recreational survey. The Preserve was acquired in 2015 and is co-owned by the State of CT and the Town of Old Saybrook. The survey is a way to gather input from the public regarding recreational opportunities for general use for all to enjoy in the future. Please take a few minutes to provide us with your input. Thank you.

Would you like to see a permanent trail in The Preserve become a part of Connecticut's blue-blazed hiking trails? (Blue-blazed hiking trails are published in the Connecticut Walk Book and the Connecticut Forest and Park Association (CFPA) maintains these trails with the help of volunteers, but the trail is limited to only hiking). *
Would you like to see additional trails created to connect to Old Saybrook's Great Cedars East and West Conservation Areas? *
Would you like to see a revised trail marking system in The Preserve to designate easy, moderate and difficult hiking/mountain biking trails? *
There are several miles of unmarked trails in The Preserve; a primary trail system should be established to ensure sufficient resources to maintain trails and protect the natural resources of the forest. *
