Mythicon recognizes the value of vendors to the overall event experience. To make the best event possible, the following guidelines must be met by all participating vendors.
We are a mythical artisan's market and we are looking to promote themed artists, artisans and costume creators. Items sold by vendors should relate to mythical themes such as fairies, mythology, and fantasy themes.
We do not accept Multi-Level Marketing businesses such as Scentsy, Origami Owl, 31 Gifts, Lularoe or other such businesses.
All applications are reviewed and approved by the marketing committee.
Vendors are integral representatives of the event and as such, must show professionalism at all times including through interactions with other event goers, keeping their belongings within their allotted space, being positive members of the community when not at the booth and with Mythicon staff, volunteers, other vendors, patrons, and hotel staff by abiding by the Mythicon code of conduct at all times.
Vendors must be set up and prepared to receive patrons when the event opens and remain set up until the event ends or given permission by vendor coordinator. Vendors who are not checked in and set up by the opening of the market on Friday may not vend with no refund unless express permission was given prior to start time. Vendors are responsible for the clean up of their area.
Full vendor fee must be paid to guarantee space. Once accepted, vendors have 30 calendar days to pay vendor fee unless otherwise arranged with the vendor coordinator.
Collected fees go towards advertising, equipment, maintenance, entertainment, venue fees and other needs of the event.
Each vendor space allows for two weekend passes. Should a vendor require extra tickets for additional staff, they can be purchased for a discounted rate for up to three additional staff at the rate of $50 per staff aged 18+ and $25 for teen helpers aged 13-17. Teen helpers must be supervised during the event.
If vendors fail to meet the guidelines of the market, they may not be invited back to participate in future years.
