Philips Respironics Letter Signon
On June 14, 2021, Philips Respironics released a recall notice affecting 13 models of ventilators, BIPAP, and CPAP machines. The notice provided little information about the specifics of the recall, encouraging people to stop using such devices or consult their physicians if they rely on a ventilator for life-sustaining use.

Ventilator users and disability rights organizations are urging Philips to prioritize the repair or replacement of equipment used by customers for life-sustaining care. They are also asking Philips to meet with disability advocates; disclose information about the company's Quality Management System; report information about how the company is tracking complaints; and provide health care and durable medical equipment providers with information about the continued use of these devices.
