Grade 9 Trip to Jasper June 13-15, 2018
Dear Parents/Guardians:

This letter is to inform you that your son/daughter has the opportunity to participate in an optional Grade 9 Farewell camping trip to Jasper National park. The goal is to give the grade 9 students a memorable experience that includes learning about camping culture, enhancing the student’s appreciation of nature, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. A camping trip to the mountains that will include hiking and camping is a great culmination of their time together at École J.E. Lapointe School.

This trip is being offered to any student in grade 9. We will also be needing some parent chaperones. Due to the nature of this trip a cost of 180-200$ will be charged per student, which will cover transportation, food, accommodations, park and hot springs entrance fees. Fund raising opportunities will be offered to offset the cost.

Please note, at this time we are only gauging interest. We will require a deposit by the end of March (approximately $75/student). Please complete this form by September 27, 2017. We will be having a parents meeting in early October to discuss the trip, the paperwork necessary to be a parent chaperone and to answer any questions you may have.
