At this time we are looking for individuals with these skill sets:
- Event and/or Trip Coordinator: Responsible for the flow and coordination of a trip, event or other activities.
- Health Management: Responsible for the well-being of our participants, including medication management. Preferred experience in oncology. (nurse, doctor, PA, NP, paramedic - requires certification)
- Social Worker/Therapist: Responsible for facilitating deep conversations inside and outside of a group setting. Preferred experience with cancer survivors/family members. (requires certification)
- Yoga Instructor: Responsible for facilitating outdoor yoga sessions. (requires certification)
- River/Kayak Guide: Responsible for assisting people on rafting trips down rivers and rapids. Prepare riverside meals. Take care of equipment and facilities. (requires certification)
- Event Volunteer/Participant: Volunteer for community events and activities. These may include River Clean-up, Paddle Out Cancer, manning booths at organized events.
- Board of Directors: Provide leadership and oversight to ensure the organization reaches its goals and fulfills its mission. Additionally, assist with fundraising efforts and uphold fiduciary responsibilities.
(Two year term and prior board experience).
Note: a volunteer can qualify for more than one role
