On these Abolition Wednesday Lobby days, you would be teamed up with 3-4 supporters and meet with State Representatives and/or State Senators. We will focus our meetings on those newly elected so we can educate them about our work and why the use of the death penalty is not the best policy for dealing with violent crime. Other visits may focus on members of the Senate and House Judiciary committees.
Participating in Abolition Wednesday is an activity for seasoned advocates as well as first time lobbyists. If you have never lobbied before call George Eklund at the ACLU with any questions you may have at 502.581.9746 or email him at email@example.com.
After signing up, someone will be in touch with you to confirm your plans and to answer any questions about the day you volunteered for.
