Mosaic is the literary arts journal published annually by Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Michigan. We are currently accepting submissions for the 2018-2019 journal. In order to submit your work, you will need to sign up for a free Google account, https://accounts.google.com/signup. Do you have questions about the process? Art submissions
The Art League has a separate process for submitting art for review. Their deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019. For more details on art submission guidelines, please contact Prof. Ryan Flathau, flathaur@kellogg.edu, or Prof. Pete Williams, williamsp@kellogg.edu.

Biographical statement
Please add a short biographical statement that will be published in the journal if your work is selected). For example, "Stella is currently enrolled in the nursing program at KCC, and she hopes to be working as a full-time nurse by 2020. Her poems reflect her love of her twin daughters and nature." --or-- "Khaled grew up in Los Angeles where his parents owned a flower business that would sometimes deliver to celebrities. His favorite subjects to write about include his time on LA beaches learning to surf and his experiences in the US Army."
Tips for your statement: keep it in third person (use your first name and the pronouns you prefer, like in the examples above), tell readers something interesting about yourself, and keep it to 2-3 sentences. *
Literary submission guidelines
The editorial board will consider each piece individually, not as a collection, so make sure to submit each item separately. Current students may submit up to five literary pieces (poetry, fiction, or creative non-fiction/essay) annually. Before you submit, please rename each submitted piece with the title of the piece (for example, "Roses in bloom.docx" or "Thundercloud.rtf") Please DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME anywhere in the file name or the file itself: the editorial board will review all submissions blindly. Literary submissions should be in .DOC, .DOCX, or .RTF. format.
