UPDATE Engineering Academy Camp 2021 (Formally Math Academy)
Due to Washington State and University of Washington safety and health restrictions, we plan to hold a virtual summer program again in 2021. We are re-envisioning the Engineering Academy program will be shifting from 4-weeks to a 2.5 week program in July 2021. Please keep checking this website for updated information on dates and program details.
Current high school juniors who are interested in learning about the science, engineering, technology and math (STEM) field and particularly how to get into engineering are invited to apply to the UW College of Engineering Academy.
This is a free day camp geared towards increasing access and opportunities in engineering to underrepresented minorities, low-income, and first-generation (parent(s) did not complete a 4-year college degree) students.
- At least 16 years of age by the first day of camp
- Attend a Washington State high school
- Participating in College Access Program
- Target audience: first-generation, low-income (free-reduced priced lunch), or underrepresented minorities in STEM (American Indian/Alaska Native, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander communities).
We hope to hold an in-person Math Academy in the future but the safety and health are the UW College of Engineering first priority.
