BCS Mid Wales programming competition
On June 13th (Saturday) BCS Mid Wales will be hosting an online, virtual programming contest open to members, university students, and other interested parties.
The contest will run from 11-3, and at 3pm, we'll have an overview of the problems and present the prizes.

Programming competitions are fun, timed events, in which contestants solve puzzle-style programming tasks. They are popular in education and industry. For some years now Aberystwyth University has entered the UKIEPC (UK and Ireland programming contest) for students. As a result of this, BCS Mid Wales have decided to hold a local event to let non-students join in, and to provide extra practice for students who might be interested in the UKIEPC later in the year.

The contest will have lots of fairly small challenges to solve - we anticipate a strong team might solve 5 or even more during the course of the event. In line with the UKIEPC, our maximum team size will be 3 people.

We plan to have four categories of competitor:
* Student individual
* Student team
* Non-student individual
* Non-student team
Prizes to be confirmed, but each category will at least have a first-place prize of a £25 amazon voucher.

Please fill in this form if you are interested in joining the event, and we will be in touch with information about the contest platform and an invitation to our Discord server for event chat.

The information collected using this form will be used solely for the purposes of running the programming contest, and will be deleted immediately after the event.
