Efficient Use of Misha
The Wu Tsai Institute's Center for Neurocomputation and Machine Intelligence invites you to a hands-on tutorial on Efficient Use of Cluster Misha, to be held on November 6, from 10 AM - 12 PM.

We'll first introduce the cluster Misha and its web portal, Misha OnDemand, covering the essentials for getting started and navigating your workspace. After a short break, we’ll dive into practical topics, including:
  • Managing your disk space
  • Understanding advanced SLURM options
  • Integrating CONDA with Jupyter and VSCode
  • Benchmarking results and making informed GPU choices
  • QoS-based GPU scheduling
  • Using Node Status and Job Status to monitor your runs
  • Checkpointing and restarting
  • Understanding daily GPU job performance alert
Through real examples—one focused on training and another on inference—you’ll learn how to maximize performance and streamline your workflow on Misha.

The tutorial will be offered in hybrid mode. You can attend in person in Room 1167 at 100 College Street, or join online via Zoom.

Prerequisites: A basic understanding of Linux is preferred but not required.
