Application for Period Volunteer Opportunities or Jobs
Overview: The best way to support Period is to start a chapter. Our chapters are leading the menstrual movement by distributing Period Packs to people in need, holding educational workshops such as Period Talk (formerly Ask Me About Periods) and Cup & Cloth, and advocating for policy change, such as Period products in their schools. Another option is to submit articles for The Rag.

PERIOD has physical offices in Portland, Oregon. We have a small staff and don’t have paid positions available at the moment. Our volunteer positions are only offered in the Portland office, and preference is given to Period chapter members.

During the academic year we have five positions which come with a very small stipend, and require a time commitment of at least ten hours per week, with at least five hours spent in the office at 11 NE MLK Blvd. These are typically term or semester based, and are for people who want to spend at least three months volunteering.

In the summer we will have seven volunteer associate positions in Portland, which also come with a small stipend. They require a time commitment of at least 20 hours per week in the office, and don't have a specified duration.

Smaller, project-based volunteer opportunities are also available.
