Hill District 100 Homeownership Cohort Application

The Hill Community Development Corporation would like to congratulate you on your decision to take the next step toward becoming a homeowner. We are excited that you are interested in applying for the 2017 Hill District 100 Homeownership Cohort which is envisioned as a learning community designed to provide 8 potential home-buyers with the necessary education needed to develop the homeownership mindset and work toward the successful purchase a home in the Hill.

The Hill District 100 Homeownership Cohort Learning Community will :

-Meet as a group once a month for 6 months to collectively develop the homeownership mindset.
-Provide clear and relevant education about the home-buying process and other realities of homeownership.
-Develop Individualized Homeownership Plans increase savings, manage a budget, and pay down debt.
-Engage with lenders, realtors, and homeownership agencies to help make the purchase of a home possible.
-Meet regularly with a qualified housing and credit counselor to prepare for mortgage qualification.
-Provide the technical homeownership education needed to prepare homeowner's for today's housing market.


-Must be a first time home-buyer
-Able to attend monthly group sessions from June 2017 to December 2017.
-Interested in purchasing a home in the Hill District within the next 6-12 months.
-Commit to meet with a housing counselor for a one-on-one session, at least once a month, to implement customized homeownership plan.

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY: Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 5 pm
(Applicants may be asked to participate in a follow-up interview process that will be announced at a later date.)


COHORT START DATE: June 2017 (Exact Date To Be Announced)

NUMBER TO BE ACCEPTED: 8 Applicants will be accepted to the 2017 cohort

Space for the 2017 cohort is limited. Candidates who are not accepted into the cohort will be added to will continue to receive email updates as a part of the Hill District 100 Membership List about potential homeownership opportunities and workshops in the Hill as they become available.
