Integrating rehabilitation into NCD care: a critical step towards UHC
Humanity & Inclusion and the World Rehabilitation Alliance invite you to the side event "Integrating rehabilitation into NCD care: a critical step towards UHC", during the World Health Assembly.

🗓 Tuesday May, 20th
🕑 17h30 - 18h30 CET
📍 9 -11 Rue de Varembé (Centre de Conference Varembé, Sale Nyon), Geneva
AND ONLINE

Integrating rehabilitation into noncommunicable disease (NCD) care is essential for achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) — but it’s often overlooked. Leaving out rehabilitation excludes millions of people from full participation in society and the economy.

This side event will highlight how integrating rehabilitation into NCD care advances UHC by promoting equity, access, and affordability, while fostering collaboration to drive joint action through policy, financing, and advocacy.

The panel will include speakers from the World Rehabilitation Alliance, the World Health Organisation, NCD  and UHC stakeholders, and rehabilitation professionals with direct experience in low-income settings.

** The room capacity is 77 people. Seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

** We are exploring the possibility of live streaming the side event. Virtual attendance will be confirmed to registrants who have indicated a preference to attend online.

The Civil Society Engagement Mechanism of the UHC 2030 Coalition provides a space that will be open for everyone to drop by and connect with colleagues and friends and to attend UHC-related events. Join us on the sidelines of the 78th World Health Assembly to network and discuss  global, regional and national advocacy strategies for universal health coverage!
