Garden Club of Terrell Scholarship

Applications will not be taken after March 12, 2020. Interviews will be conducted between March 23-27, 2020. Scholarship recipients will be notified the week of April 20, 2020. Scholarships will be awarded on May 14, 2020 @ Jamie Foxx PAC at 6:00pm.
The applicant must be a Terrell resident within zip codes 75160 or 75161 or a Terrell high school senior or graduate of Terrell high school who is graduating with a 3.0 or higher gpa. applicant must intending to attend a 4 year university. The scholarship is also open to students home schooled in Terrell high school area.
Student must major or minor in one of the following: Agriculture, Agricultural extension, Forestry, Horticulture, Floriculture, Botany, Environmental Concerns, Landscape Design or Operations, Ranching, Farming, Plant Pathology, Soil Sciences, Plant Sciences, Teacher certification for any of the above.
Scholarships are also open to Garden Club family members as long as all requirements are met; however, if applicant is related to a member of the scholarship committee, that committee member must excuse him or herself. If a family member’s application is accepted, voting must be a unanimous silent written vote by all members present at the applicable Garden Club meeting.
