Grademe Skill Assessment Test forElectronics Companies2017-2018
GradeME introduces its second Skill Assessment Test (GSAT) focused on Electronics Companies. This drive is aimed to bring together Electronics Companies and colleges on the gradeMETM platform. Qualification– B.E, M.E. (2018 batch) in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Please note – There is no percentage cutoff for this Skill Assessment Test. The candidates will be judged and shortlisted on the basis of their skills. There will be two standard tests that will be conducted. (Depending on the company requirements the students might have to appear for one or both the tests) GradeME Skill Assessment Test – Electronics Software (GSAT-ES) Duration – 3 Hours This test is divided into two parts Part 1 – Technical Profiling (MCQ based) (1.5 Hours) (This test is a closed book test)
 Syllabus (sub-skills)–
o Knowledge in C (Assembly, Data Structures, OS concepts)
o Microprocessor & Microcontroller (MPMC)
o Fundamentals of Embedded Systems
o Basic English communication skills.
Part 2 – Practical Session (1.5 Hours) (This test is an open book test)
 Student has to solve two practical questions in C programming in the lab and submit on the gradeME platform
 Software used Dev C++
GradeME Skill Assessment Test – Electronics Hardware (GSAT-EH) Duration – 3.5 Hours This test is divided into two parts Part 1 – Technical Profiling (MCQ based) (2 Hours) (This test is a closed book test)
 Syllabus (Sub-skills)
o Basics of Electronics (BEE) (Analog and Digital circuits, Multiplexers, LIC, OP-AMP, Transistor, Diode etc.)
o HDL Programming (VHDL)
o Embedded Programming (ADCs, DACs, PWMetc.)
o PCB Design

Part 2 – Practical Session (1.5 Hours)
(This test is an open book test)
 Student has to solve two practical questions (depending on his/her choice)
 Either in VHDL or Embedded C programming using 8051
 Software used
o VHDL – Xilinx ISE Webpack 14.7
o Embedded C Programming – Keil AT89C51 package
Scoring for GSAT
Each sub-skill is scored on a scale of 1-10 and each company has set a cutoff mentioned in the list below.
Candidates who clear the cutoff will be shortlisted for interviews.

Selection Process
The selection process is divided into two stages –
Stage 1 - Technical screening and skill assessment conducted by gradeMETM
 Location – Partner College
 Registrations will be managed by the respective TPOs. The registration list should be forwarded 4
days prior to the date of assessment.Please mention in the list which test (GSAT – ES or /and GSAT –
EH) the student will be appearing for.
Stage 2 – Company Interviews
 Location – Company Site
Based on clearing the cutoffs for any of the companies in Step 1, gradeME will forward the names and profiles of the candidates to th companies. The candidates will then be notified of the time and date of the interview by the respective company. Preparing For GSAT Disclaimer - The suggested preparation material is only to give the candidate a direction for preparation. There is no fixed boundaries to the questions. The test will be based on practical knowledge.
