Engage with COP31!

We are thrilled to announce a series of enlightening webinars designed to deepen your understanding of critical topics at COP31. Join us to explore a range of issues from the role of youth in climate action to the importance of security and indigenous perspectives. Schedule 

All webinars and networking sessions will start at 14.30 CET

Programme (TBA): 

  • June 11: Introduction to Negotiation tracks,  Anisa Abibulloeva, Project coordinator of “Little Earth”, Tajikistan, environmental activist with 9 years of experience in environmental advocacy, winner of Central Asian Tereshkevich Youth Environmental Award 
  • June 18: Multilateralism and Rio Conventions, Ira Ponedelnik, Belarus Civil Society Fellow 2023, science communicator, CAN EECCA Network Coordinator
  • 2 July: Energy Transition and Systems, Vladislav Kaim, Energy Expert, Moldova (webinar will start at 1 pm)
  • 9 July: TBA
  • 16 July: False Solutions, Hanna Skryhan, researcher with a diverse expertise in energy efficiency, climate change, and waste management, Belarus 

Exclusive Opportunities: Upon completion of at least 3 new webinars (participation) and 2 assignments (if you have a 2024 certificate), or at least 3 new webinars, 2 new assignments, and 4 assignments from the previous cohort (if you are joining for the first time), participants will receive a Certificate of Participation. Additionally, participants will gain invaluable insights and the opportunity to connect with young leaders from the EECCA region.

Special for Citizens of EaP Countries: If you are a citizen of an Eastern Partnership (EaP) country and under 35, don't miss the chance to compete for a fully-funded opportunity to attend COP31 in Turkey. The selected participant will have all expenses covered including subsistence, travel, and accommodation for the duration of 7 days. 

EaP countries include: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine.

Activists from Central Asia and other EECCA countries are welcome to participate in the webinars and receive a certificate, but are not eligible for the fully-funded opportunity to attend COP31.
