Temwa Festival Volunteer Form 2024
Temwa will be attending two Festivals this year and are looking for some fantastic volunteers to join us!  If you are interested then please complete the form below and sign up for the festivals you know you can attend. Unfortunately, we only have limited numbers of volunteer places available at both festivals so will not be able to offer everyone a place volunteering but we will do the best we can!

Temwa's Festival Service 2024
This year we will again be offering the  Phone Charging service to Festivals. These services generally run from Wednesday/Thursday through till Sunday. All volunteers will have access to the festival site from Wednesday onwards and will be expected to leave on the Monday at the latest.

You will be working up to three 4-6 hour shifts usually between the hours of 9am and 10pm. We can give you a copy of the rota ahead of the festival and will book you to work with your friends where possible. All volunteers must be 18 years or older and ID is required.
Training and Logistics
Volunteers may be asked to attend a short online briefing before the festival to meet the team and to understand the logistics for that particular festival.  We will also hold an in person team briefing at the start of each festival.

We will also create a Whatsapp group for each festival and add your name to it as this will be the easiest way to keep you up to date with festival information, including how to get in, where to pick up wristbands, campsites etc. Please do let us know if you would prefer not to be added.
Deposit/Bond Fee
Volunteers will be asked to pay a £100 security bond ahead of the festival. This fee will be refunded in full once you have completed all your required shifts at a festival. Please note that if you turn up in an unfit state to work, we will unfortuantely have to ask you to leave so this would not constitute in having worked that shift.
Festival Meal vouchers
Temwa will arrange for you to receive a meal voucher for each shift you work, it entitles you to a free meal and is part of our way of thanking you for your support. It will also help to keep your costs lower for the weekend. We will also provide free tea/coffee and biscuits and snacks from the Temwa stand.

Temwa relies on its volunteers to deliver services at festivals, raising money for life-changing projects in Malawi. In exchange, volunteers are able to enjoy the festivals and know that the work they are doing is making a real difference. When you sign up as a festival volunteer, you are agreeing to the following: You’ll act in a safe, respectful and caring way at all times during the festival, both on and off shift. You’ll pay the agreed deposit/bond (as required), and you understand and agree to our policy on returning deposits. You‘ll work the agreed number of shifts unless there are unavoidable circumstances that prevent this. You’ll work with the Temwa Festival Manager and Team Leaders, to run our services in an effective and professional way. You’ll look after yourself, your co-workers and your working environment so that you’re fit and safe to work.
