BOTTOM–UP CULTURE is an initiative of a group of Bulgarian cultural operators and features a professional workshop with Shelagh Wright (director of ThreeJohnsandShelagh and Mission Models Money, associate of Demos UK and Toynbee Studios from London/ UK), Peter Jenkinson OBE (cultural broker from London/ UK) and Lubov Kostova (director of British Council in Bulgaria). The workshop is closed and invite only so if you are here–there's a reason for that. The event will be held only in English and additional work materials will be provided by the organisers.
BOTTOM–UP CULTURE will address topics such as culture-led urban regeneration; the role of the cultural entrepreneurs; and creative places and the shift towards the socially-engaged, civically-engaged and politically-engaged practices.
The following questionnaire is necessary for the organisation of workshop which will be held on May 15 in Boris Hristov House of Culture (Plovdiv). Please fill in every space in order for the tutors to get a better understanding of the Bulgarian situation and problems and present their point of view afterwards.
