Application: Hiring a domestic worker
Three Good Spoons promotes decent work for domestic workers. We are not an employment agency but we train Myanmar women on being professional domestic workers through our Licence to Stir training program. If you wish to hire a domestic worker, we may be able to match you with one of our trainees. We do not accept any fee for this service from either our trainees or prospective employers. If we help a trainee find a job, we ask their employer to agree to:
- attend a job interview with domestic worker candidates at Three Good Spoons
- provide a written contract in Myanmar language (we can provide a template)
- agree to a Three Good Spoons staff member visiting your domestic worker to check on progress (you set the time/date)
- agree to updating Three Good Spoons on your domestic worker's progress (reply to our quick online surveys)

In return, Three Good Spoons will provide:
- free membership for your domestic worker to attend top up classes at 50% discount
- a free copy of the Decent work toolkit, due out in September 2019

We cannot guarantee success every time and we cannot accept responsibility or liability for any unforeseen events. But we can reassure you that we will refer only candidates who have attended our courses and have demonstrated commitment in learning the value of professional domestic work. Thanks for stirring it in and sharing it out!

If you have any questions about this process or aspects of the program, please contact Alison Carter, Managing Director, Three Good Spoons on info@threegoodspoons.com We are very happy to discuss and assist.
