Henrico 4-H Mars Base Camp: STEM Club

Can one day humans live on Mars? Do you like to have fun making discoveries and designing solutions that are out of this world? Join Henrico 4-H Mars Base Camp: STEM Club as we explore features of the red planet. Be an engineer and build your own Mars Rover. Learn about concepts in environmental science, biology and agriculture on Mars. The Mars 4-H club activities is matched to the 3rd - 8th grade SOLs, however any youth ages 8 and up, are welcomed to participate. Most of the activities are hands-on, unplugged and do not need a computer. Live sessions will be held on Zoom from 4:00 - 5:30 PM: March 3, March 17, March 31, and April 14.

The Mars Base Camp Family Kit costs $15 (serves 1 - 4 youth) and has all the supplies for the club activities. Please remember that checks should be made payable to the "Henrico 4-H Fund". Payments can be mailed to VCE- Henrico 4-H, P.O. Box 90775 Henrico, VA 23273. Registration is not guaranteed until payment is received.

Mars Base Camp Kit Pick up:
When: Thursday, February 25 from 4:00 - 5:30PM & Friday, February 26 from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Where: Henrico Western Government Center - Human Services Building- 8600 Dixon Powers Drive (Pull in to the circle drive. No need to enter the building.)

Participants must join Virginia 4-H: https://v2.4honline.com. If already registered in 4-H in another county, add Henrico County as a secondary county. Choose "4-H STEM Challenge: Mars Base Camp ". Projects: "Science Inquiry", and "Technology".
