Accomodation for the night on 11 June
Participants can request a Japanese style dormitory (3 persons per room) at the Hotel Tatsunoyu (http://www.tatsunoyu.jp/) for the night on 11 June, the day before the symposium. Price is 9,870JPY per person including breakfast. If you would like to stay at a single room hotel in the Tsuruoka city central, ask organizers for other options.
Symposium on 12 June
Participants are strongly recommended to attend the symposium because it is a great opportunity to make the hackathon productive by sharing the state-of-the-art technologies and current issues. The program will be soon available on http://2016.biohackathon.org/symposium. Visit http://www.iab.keio.ac.jp/access/ to find the way to the venue of the symposium, the Keio University Metabolome Campus lecture hall, Tsuruoka, Yamagata (if you'll stay at Tatsunoyu on 11th night, free shuttle bus to the venue will be available).
Symposium Lunch
Participants can request a lunch box for the day of the symposium (about 1,000 JPY).
Reception party on 12 June
We will have a reception party after the symposium at the venue of the hackathon, the Hotel Tachibanaya. Participants who do not participate the hackathon but only the symposium can still join the party by paying 5,000 JPY. You can also request a room at the Hotel Tachibanaya for one night as it would be difficult to leave from the city after the party. If you stay at Tachibanaya, you'll receive discount rate for the party (in total, 14,730 JPY including your stay, the party and a breakfast). Note that your room will be shared with three participants.
Hackathon on 13-17 June
The venue of the hackathon is hotel Tachibanaya (http://www.tachibanaya.jp/). The schedule of the hackathon is available at http://2016.biohackathon.org/hackathon (hack, hack, hack all over the week, basically).
Post-hackathon discussion meeting on 18 June
On 18 June, we will have a post-hackahton meeting at the Keio University for discussion on the publication of hackathon results. Participants who join the hackathon are strongly recommended to attend this meeting as well. After the meeting, we will explore the Tsuruoka city including a farm for pick-your-own Satou-Nishiki cherry before our flight to Tokyo in the evening.
Accomodation during the hackathon
Participants are recommended to stay at the hackathon venue, the Hotel Tachibanaya, to maximize interactions among participants. The hotel only provides Japanese style dormitory (3 person per room) for 72,180 JPY for 6 nights including dinner and breakfast.
Lunch during the hackathon
Participants can request the lunch during the hackathon, for 6000-7500JPY for 5 days (13-17 June).
Excursion event on 15 June
Excursion event is planned by the organizers. It will cost around 3000-5000JPY including transportation, tickets, etc. Visiting Dewa Sanzan mountain shrine (http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/location/regional/yamagata/dewasanzan.html) or Kamo aquarium (http://kamo-kurage.jp/) is planned depending on the weather.
